Our facilities & amenities:
We have a 16 stall barn attached a 75’ x 175’ indoor arena, 4 large pastures, and 2 smaller outdoor turnout areas. The path around the perimeter of our facility is a half mile. We have a trail that leads directly into Oak Openings Metropark, where you’ll find miles and miles of wide, sandy horse trails. http://www.oakopeningshorsetrail.webs.com/ we have small jumps, and cavaletti that boarders are welcome to use.

Board does include:
Grain & hay
We feed a high quality grain, although we find that our horses do not eat large amounts of grain because they stay fat with the amount of hay we provide. In the summers, horses stay fat because they’re out on grass pastures. In the winter, we put round bales out in the dirt lots.  Horses are also fed hay in their stalls. If your horse needs senior feed, we will provide that for an additional fee.

Turnout at least 360 days per year
In the summer, horses go out on grass pastures at night and are in during the day so they don’t get sunburned.
In the winter, horses go out on dirt lots during the day and are in at night.  There are some days in the winter when we keep the horses in (when it’s in the negative double digits before the windchill factor) but we believe that they belong outside, so we rarely keep them in.

A Clean stall
We clean the stalls every day of the year, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.

A full water bucket, but boarders are expected to clean their own water bucket and provide their own heated bucket in the winter. We provide heated water tanks outside, and we expect boarders to help keep the tanks full when possible.

Supplement service:
If you believe that your horse needs supplements, we will feed your pre-measured supplements to your horse.

Boarders are expected to clean up after themselves, clean their own water bucket, help keep outside tanks full in the winter, pitch in and help whenever possible.
